Corporate Community Service Volunteer Opportunity

Whalefest Monterey invites local corporations and businesses with community outreach or philanthropic programs to participate in this year’s festival through Corporate Community Service

We’re offering companies the opportunity to “adopt” one of our fun, hands-on activities for the weekend — all themed around marine life and ocean conservation. Examples include:

  • Gyotaku Fish Printing

  • Scrimshaw & Origami Art Activity

  • Abalone Races

  • Whalefest Information Booths or Survey Takers

Your team would staff and manage the activity for the weekend (Saturday & Sunday, April 11–12), including set-up and break-down. Volunteers can represent your company in one of two ways:

  • Wearing your company T-shirts, e.g., “J. Smith & Co. Volunteering for Whalefest Monterey”, or

  • Displaying a small company banner or sign at your booth or station.

This is a wonderful way to show your company’s commitment to marine conservation and community engagement, while providing your team with a meaningful, team-building volunteer experience.

We suggest a $300 donation to help support Whalefest operations and materials.

  • April 11th and 12th , 2026, 10am - 5pm

    Your team would staff and manage the activity for the weekend (Saturday & Sunday, April 11–12), including set-up and break-down.

  • Age Requirement: One adult must be 18+. Minors should not be left alone.

    Set-up & Tear Down: Must be up on April 11 by 9am. Booths and displays must be removed at the end of each event day no later than 6:30pm. Event ends at 5pm each day.

    Company T-shirts: Wearing your company t-shiret, e.g., “J. Smith & Co. Volunteering for Whalefest Monterey”

    Display: Displaying a small company banner or sign at your booth or station.

  • Bring: Your volunteers to operate your space, and lots of fun and smiles.

    • Hundreds of visitors during a 2-day event.

    • Be a part of the local community.

    • Free advertising or shoutout on our website and social media platforms.

    • Opportunity to create content for your social media or website down at Monterey Old Fisherman’s Wharf and Custom House Plaza.

    • Gives your business prime visibility, direct access to engaged attendees.

    • A chance to align with a cause or community that reflects your values.

    • Visibility by other local businesses.  

    • You’ll build brand awareness, connect with potential customers, and show your support in a way that’s both meaningful and memorable.
