We hope you will be joining us for a fabulous Whalefest 2027 — a vibrant, fun-filled weekend celebrating our ocean, wildlife, and community. Your time and energy help bring this special event to life, and we are so excited to have you be a part of it.
Volunteer shifts are available:

• Saturday, April 8th
• Sunday, April 9th
Whether you’re returning or joining us for the first time, we look forward to spending time with you and creating a memorable experience together.

We strongly suggest you bring a water bottle. A water refill station will be available at the Surfrider Monterey booth.

Yes! Please be mindful of time away from the assigned area and that your position is covered.

All ages welcome. Middle School, High School, College or Military, Adults, and Retirees.
15+ to volunteer unsupervised. Those under the age of 14 must have supervision.

Wharf #2, on the pier
Heritage Harbor Parking Lot, on Pacific above the wharf.
Portola Plaza, walk right over to Custom House Plaza.
Parking garage across from Sports Center.

🚙 PAID PARKING: Parking lots are Paid Parking.
🚙 STREET PARKING: Street parking is timed to 1-2 hours. No free long-term parking is available.
🎣 TIP: If the festival falls on Salmon Sport Fishing opening weekend, parking will fill up fast early morning at Marina and Wharf parking lots.
🎒 VALUABLES: Do not leave in the car or unattended at the booth. Whalefest is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
